Card Weaving

A couple of weeks ago I went to a class on Card weaving.  This was so much fun.  Spraying paper, cutting strips, weaving paper adding some embellies and no two cards will ever be alike.  So Unique.  LUV IT.

Anniversary / Wedding card

I actually sat down and put one of my colored images onto a card.  I am excited.  Now I gotta make more cards with my colored images now that I have some Idea of what I want for now.  YAY.  gotta get card makin again.  I just luv this image.  Image is from Lily of the Valley.  I added ink to the edges of both the card and the image and I cut from the cricut I believe I used storybook for the scrolled image in black.  Used my iroc to add the three gems and added a flower to the bottom corner.   And look at that Denice I got my signature on my picture WHOO HOO.  yay.

Here are some cards we made in class on St. Patricks Day and What fun that was.  We did a few techniques.  We inked on glossy paper and used stazon stamp pad for the stamping on those papers.  Check them out.

 The first card is made up of 4 strips glued over and over again and the bunny is made from heart punches.  SO cute.  The Thank You card is made from tissue paper stamped with versamark and white embossing powder.  Then we inked the white tissue paper.

 The two cards above are done on glossy cardstock and we used alcohol inks "Tim Holtz"  A few different colors and stamped up the whole glossy side of the cardstock.  Then used stazon ink pad to stamp our images.  Used alcohol inks in those alcohol ink pens to color the images.  Same with the skunk image except we kept the cardstock white.  CUUUTTTE skunk (only on paper though my dogs need to leave the real ones alone).

This was my fav card.  You open up to a folded card and stamp all the sections inside the card and color.  I didn't color mine yet cause I wanted to use my markers.  YAY.  This was one of the funnest classes I have been to.  Can't wait for more.

My Magnolia Dragons. . . .

Here is my Magnolia Dragons.  I tried it with two different color schemes.  I luv my green dragons and Maroon ones also.  But I think this maroon one could have been a little bit darker than brighter.  I added glitz to the heart.  I seem to always pick up that stickle bottle and add it somewhere on my colorings.  I luv the glitz.    Trying to figure out if I should add more pencil to my colorings or not.

Miss Harriet Potter. LOL.

Here is my magnolia wizard.  I'll call her miss Harriet Potter.  I just received her on saturday and there I was stamping away many images of her.  Sat down and colored one just like that.  No thinking just coloring.  So easy peasy on this one.  YAY.  I added glitz to her stars and the trails.  YAY.   Now waiting for my new cartridge to show up so I can add a border to her also. 

Oh I just finished Joes notebook.  I added a branch because the monkey was just hanging by the thread of the paper.  LOL.  I am happy with the book now.  YAY.  he already is using this book.  Joe luvs his monkeys.  YAY.  (I also luv this magnolia monkey) so dang cute.

I now have borders for my coloring.

I now know what cartridge I have coming to my house.  YUP Elegant Edges.  I spent a few hours borrowing someones cartridge at an all day scraping day.  I took my cricut and play with many cartridges but I do have a favorite.  Everytime my cricut cut a new border I squealed with delight.  JUST LOOK.  OH MY GOODNESS.  now I can show off my coloring with borders.  YIPEEE.

A Card Finally!!

Okay took quite awhile to pick out papers to put a card together.  It is not as pretty as the magnolia site cards.  But I am still learning.  I did, however, have fun with my irock.  Look at those pretty gems.  YAY.  That Irock is the best tool every for a bling luver.  YAY.  So what do you think?  Its a joy fold card.  I really like the Joy Fold Card Style.  I am now going to take all my colorings and try to make a few cards.  Lets see how they turn out.  Anyways here she is.  Miss Irish Tilda.  YAY I heart her.

Scrapbook Pages without Pictures Class.

 YAY, Another Fabulous Class by Charlotte.  Can't wait to see what she does next.  I always change up the page a little bit but basically this is the design she came up with for class on Saturday.  Now gotta go through my pictures and find just the right ones to place on here.  YAY.

Okay really need an opinion on this one.  My first try at coloring with black and greys and pin striped pants.  OMG.  Please give me suggestions of what I should be doing?  I am just not sure.  What do you think?

TILDA with CLOVERs

Here is my version of St. Urhos day (Purple) and St. Patricks Day (Green my favorite color).  It probably helps that I am part irish from my mothers side (O'Neil).  English and Irish what a mix hey.  LOL.  Now I know where the red in my hair comes from.  You tooo Jordan.  LOL.  grandmas side.  Anyways Here is Tilda with Clovers.  What do you think?

Recipe book ~ another page

OH I am so happy with this page.  I am putting a page in front of each of the tabs in the recipe book.  This one is in front of the cakes/desserts page.  Fitting isn't it.  Here ya go Jordan this is another peak at your recipe book.  YUP.  Been working really hard on it so you can have it for your graduation in June.  He will be graduating from the Art Institute in Schaumburg and will have a bachelors in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics.  Oh how exciting.  Well onto the picture.

Funny how I colored the image and then decided to use papers to bring the cupcake paper color out.  So I picked orange and yellow (muted ones).  Then went through my paperpack and found this wonderful orange and yellow heart papers.  It just all fell together wonderfully.  Whatcha think?

VALENTINES Day Card Class

I really need to cricut cut my paper and then stamp my image and then color it.  Oh well.  I have been coloring some of my new images.  I am now trying to shade for white effect.  Came out pretty cool.  YAY.  Luv my new images.  YAY.

My first attempt at this image. More muted colors.  But it came out cute.

This is not finished but I used brighter colors and this is my second try at this image.

Here is where I am practicing the shading for white.  I am somewhat getting it.
